Hi.
Welcome to the new virtual NJ Replicar Club.
Originally established in 1991, the New Jersey Replicar Club grew to become one of the largest auto clubs devoted to the kit car world. At our peak, our membership roles approach 100 active kit car owners and seekers.
Sadly, the expenses and volunteer effort necessary to keep a real-world club going took their toll and the club disbanded early in 2009.
Being a member of a number of on-line clubs that are very successful, I thought it would be worth taking a shot at reconstituting the NJRC as a virtual club.
So, let's see what happens. I emailed an invitation to all the former NJRCers for whom I still have an address. If you got that email or otherwise stumbled upon this site...please help spread the word.
To prevent spammer IDs from registering to this board, our boards are set to require approval on new user IDs. I will be checking the admin site regularly for new registrations.
Also, I realize a lot of folks like to remain rather anonymous on boards like. But since the goal is to continue the friendships of the NJRC in the virtual world, I would hope that you either select a user name that is recognizable or add a signature in your profile so your posts have a recognizable author.
Thanks.

The SOC www.speedsterowners.com board has created a close knit extended family as surely this board will do for the NJRC group. Thanks Paul for setting this up. ~ Alan

And for those that are interested www.tdreplica.com is doing the same thing for MG-TD replica owners.

Well done Paul, just what we needed to get the old and I do mean OLD members of NJRC to get together even if it's only a Virtual meeting.

The Cobra is looking great Bill! When you get a chance, would you re-post it in the Member Cars section? I hope this forum takes off! We're all the way up to six members!

I'm all for a try at this "virtual" thing. It's all about the people and their cars. As for Thunder and I, no racing this year. Money is tight (big surprise) and it was a year of shows and cruises for us. She's still running real fine and as long as you control the "go" pedal, it's been a safe year. I just got Christmas parts for a new project though. When the soft top is on and the side windows are not, at 60MPH, it feels like the windshield is going to come off. The wind lifts and shakes everything. The new parts are actually a borrowed old idea from the Britsh cars. It's call a windsheild stiffing rod. I'll keep you posted as to how it works out. So what's up with you guys? Any new builds or is everyone just going out buying a new Mustang or Camaro?

Rocky took my email and sent to the old Yahoo Group list. That may catch folks for whom I do not have email addresses.

So now, what I think Al meant was...those of us with more life experience; not necessarily "old".
So, Rocky, how's that build? Sounds like you need your own thread!
